Okay, me and my husband have been in the Philippines for almost 7 months now. Time flies. In 4 or 5 more months, we will be on our way back to the US. I can only stay under a year outside the US because of my resident card situation. We are still in the process of applying for the removal of my conditions to get my 10 year card. But I got in the mail a paper that I can show in my travels that I have a year extension while waiting for my 10 year card. Anyway... Back to my topic.
Today, I am going to talk about our internet connection in the Philippines. We use an aircard --- which is very very very very slow. We pay the unlimited 999 plan per month. Early in the morning is not bad, but at night, when everyone maybe is home and on the internet, it gets so slow that even opening your facebook would take too long. We use SmartBro, which has a stronger signal in our location. The other provider is called Globe -- they have Globe Tattoo which is also an air card and they claim it is way faster, but the price is like getting fast internet in the US. Ridiculous price. So, if you're planning on living in the Philippines and getting your own internet connection, you will be better off with a DSL connection than an air card. It is very frustrating to have wait for 5 minutes when you upload photos online. LOL. I know I am talking about facebook too much, but that is where I do most of my internet surfing. I do photography and I like to showcase my photos on my FB page and with the amount and the quality of photos I upload, it is pretty annoying to have a very slow internet connection. The whole I keep telling myself how much I miss the US. As a matter of fact, after I type this whole thing, I have to make sure that I copy it, just in case my internet tells me page is not able to load when I click on publish.
Life in the Philippines. So slow, even the internet is slow.
My next post, I want to talk about a way to call the USA for cheap if you live in the Philippines. You can call your relatives unlimited.

Planning My Cousin's Wedding
My cousin is getting married this December. I am excited, yet I am nervous. This is the first time I planning someone's wedding. So far, I have everything written down, but I don't know if they will work. I have not seen the venue, I have not seen the bride. I am planning the wedding remotely. I hope this works.
The color they picked is GOLD YELLOW or YELLOW GOLD -- whichever one you prefer. My Mom is going to make the bride's dress, I am choosing all the designs and every single detail of the wedding. This is a filipino wedding, so it will be very different. Another thing too, I am the photographer!
I have written down ideas for the dresses and color combinations, flowers, decors, back drop, arrangements... I think this will be good.
Follow this blog and I will post lots and lots of pictures for you to enjoy! I am super duper excited!!!! Can't wait to finally see for myself what this is going to look like. I will take you through some DIY that I plan to do for this wedding because I want to decor budget to be on the cheap side.
Ciao for now!
